The U.S. Department of Education Civil Rights had to step in and made girls in the district complete a survey to see if they felt that they were receiving equal opportunities in athletics. We had access to myths and facts about Title IX legislation. It gave us great amount of history and background on Title IX. This source taught us about National Girls and Women in Sports Day in the U.S. This website also gave us information on the three prong test that institutions use to ensure that they are in compliance with Title IX. Annotation: This book talks about the inside story of how Title IX changed American sports. The law guaranteeing women's rights in education gave a big opportunity they didn’t have before.
